About C-Change

Meet Dianne Priest

Currently living near the beach in Northern Australia and honoured to be a supervisor, counsellor and coach for people from all backgrounds and experiences.

My years committed to training, teaching, volunteering and leading have given me insights into the role of relational modalities of healing.

We are not defined by our mistakes, but by the strength and growth we gain from them.

The C-Change Story

Picture the scene – my partner and I strolling along Avalon Beach in the late afternoon talking, as we often do when at the beach, about life, love, faith and purpose.

We pondered the importance of an intentional loving relationship as a crucial platform in all our lives for change.

From that conversation my steps towards creating a counselling and coaching business emerged.

As we were at the beach, my happy place to be honest, the phrase C-Change came into my mind as an appropriate naming of the concept of change.

Confidence and Compassion

I’ve had the privilege of not having a perfect life and have learnt over time to extend compassion to myself and to others.

To tap into courage, not always my own, to safely propel me forward in the tough moments and seasons of life.

All these experiences continue to give me confidence in our human capacity to respond well to change when we remain curious and hopeful together.

My goal is to provide a relational pathway for others to explore possibilities, release courage, listen for the voice of self-compassion and move towards positive change.

The Purpose of C-Change

C-Change began out of a deep personal awareness that we do our best life together. It is established on the belief that we can learn to see ourselves, our context and challenges differently.

I’ve had the privilege of having counsellors, supervisors, wise friends, and caring family gently and respectfully walk alongside me over the years.

Through C-Change I desire to return that favour and help others build a strong circle of support and find their inner capacity to enjoy a not so perfect life as well.

My Role

My role as a supervisor, counsellor and coach ensures:

  • Confidentiality within the bounds of current law and practice

  • A psychodynamic model of healing

  • Professional supervision and on-going professional development

  • Professionally monitored therapeutic diagnostics and methods

  • Appropriate recommendations/referrals as required

  • Personalised therapeutic plans to be agreed upon by client and C-Change

  • Respect for the diversity of human experience.

Using relational therapies honed by training and practice, I create a safe space for clients to explore strengths, develop new skills, and find pathways to manage life’s challenging internal and external contexts.
